KALMAR KOLORS ALPACA
FARM
Our family lives in rural midwestern
Illinois Alpha, a small town located
50 miles northwest of Peoria and 30 miles south
of Moline, IL, very close to I-74. We are approximately
30 miles from the Iowa border. Link with

Our family has
discovered over the past years
that alpacas make wonderful pets,
they are excellent investment
opportunities, and they are easy
animals to care for.
Randy has
practiced vet medicine for 30
years and offers hands-on care
with knowledge in medicine,
nutrition and reproduction.
March, 2000 he sold his vet
practice and accepted a position
as `Supervisor of Meat
Inspection' with the State of
Illinois' Agriculture Department.
This change allows more `free'
time to spend with family and
enjoying our alpaca investment!
Jan has raised
our family of three successfully
into the world beyond Alpha and
is now enjoying the mystique of a
new cria and the fine fiber
production of our own alpacas.
She provides the TLC!
We reside in a
Scandanavian community with
quaint shops in nearby Bishop
Hill. Our ancestors came from Kalmar,
Sweden
where Volvos are
made to meet high standards, just
as we seek perfection in our
alpacas.
We built a new
facility when we began to house
and care for this enterprise and
we expanded in 2001.
We have a small
herd of our own and also agist
(board) alpacas for other
families who are not yet able to
have their animals brought to
their own farm.
We hope to apply
sound science with lots of TLC to
raise the best colored Peruvian
alpacas available.
